How can I charge at a public station?
How do I get access to the public charging app?
There is a QR code on the charging station. Scan this QR code
using the Sintio app or the camera on your smartphone. If your smartphone camera
does not have a built-in QR code scanner, you can download one for free from the App Store/Play Store.
Sintio protects you from fraud when charging publicly. With the Sintio app you can already check while scanning the QR code whether it is trustworthy.
We therefore recommend scanning via our Sintio app, which is available in the App Store (opens in a new tab) and Play Store (opens in a new tab).
How do I start charging at a public station?
After successfully scanning the QR code, your browser will open the Sintio public web app.
On the first screen you will see all the information about your upcoming charging session.
Check this information and press Add payment information to continue.
You will then see a screen where you can choose your payment method.
You can choose between credit card and Apple/Google Pay.
Once you have filled in the required fields, you can start charging by pressing the Start charging button.
- We need your email address to send you the receipt for the charging session.
Please make sure the email address is correct. - We do not store any credit card information on our servers.
All your credit card information is securely managed by Stripe (opens in a new tab).
When you start charging, a flat fee of CHF 60 will be charged to your credit card.
We will refund the difference between the flat fee and the actual charging cost to your credit card.
This way you only pay for the electricity you actually use.
If you encounter problems starting the charging process, please make sure that your smartphone is connected to the Internet.
Stopping the charging session at a public station
Once your car is sufficiently charged, you can stop the process by pressing the Stop charging button.

as well as a breakdown of the costs.
