OCPP Integration for Smart-me Charging Station
This guide explains how to set up an OCPP connection between the Pico Charging Station from smart-me and the Sintio Portal. Before configuration, ensure the charging station is installed correctly.
Pico
Add Device in the smart-me Installer App
Use the smart-me Installer App to add the Pico Charging Station. Scan the QR code on the station as shown in the animation below.
Network Settings
In the app, choose the desired network configuration. The Pico Station supports Wi-Fi as the primary connection method. This can be configured directly within the smart-me Installer App.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Connection Type | Wi-Fi |
SSID & Password | Credentials for the local network |
OCPP Settings
In the app, navigate to OCPP Backend Settings and configure the connection to the Sintio Portal as follows:
Input Field | Value |
---|---|
Charging Station Name | Enter a name (freely selectable, will be shown in the Sintio Portal) |
Authentication | External OCPP Backend (beta) |
OCPP URL | wss://{ChargerID}:{password}@ocpp.sintio.app/ocpp16/{OrganizationID} |
The part of the URL before the "@" follows the format ChargerID:Password
. These credentials can be obtained from the Sintio Portal.
You can find the ChargerID
directly on the charging station or by scanning the QR code.
Test Connection & Restart
After saving the settings, the connection to the backend can be tested via the smart-me App. If successful, the app will display the status "Connected" below the OCPP URL input field.
Once the connection is successful, the station will appear in the Sintio Portal under Charging Stations. Authorization of charging sessions is managed centrally via the portal – a local RFID whitelist is not required.
