OCPP Integration Garo Charging Stations
Garo Entity Pro
Download the Garo Connect app from the App Store (iOS or Android) and register an account.
Follow the step-by-step instructions and scan the code on the backplate.
In the General Settings, ensure that a charging plan or free usage is enabled.
In the installation overview, select Third-Party CPO/OCPP settings.

Optionally, select StopTransactionOnEVSideDisconnect and UnlockConnectorOnEVSideDisconnect.

Under OCPP Connection, you can freely choose the DeviceId. In the GaroRemoteCsmsUrl field, the OCPP URL from the Sintio portal must be entered.

The last part of the URL, deviceId, must be removed.

Enter the password in the AuthorizationKey field. Push Save changes.

AuthorizationCacheEnabled determines if RFID badges are stored locally on the station. Stored badges remain until a factory reset is performed. The status of an RFID tag is updated based on information from the CSMS, such as when a tag is blocked.
Make sure that AuthorizationCacheEnabled is disabled as shown on the image below. Otherwise every RFID on the charger is able to charge.

Check the overview of settings Options on Garo Entity Pro.
Setting Option | Explanation |
---|---|
GaroAdminPassword | The password used to access the charging station, either via the local API via the access point or SSH. By default, it matches the password printed on the label on the Charging Unit. |
GaroOwnerMaxCurrent | Allows setting an individual current limit for the station. Although the installation's current limit remains the maximum, the vehicle can draw up to 32A if it is able. Additionally, the owner can limit current per station, for instance, to give priority to a specific station. |
AuthorizeRemoteTxRequests | Controls whether the station verifies if the RFID tag that initiates a RemoteStartTransaction is valid. If set to True , the station will send an Authorize-request to the CSMS with the ID tag before starting the transaction, even if charging can be started via the app without this setting enabled. |
LocalPreAuthorize | Specifies local RFID badge storage in the authorization cache if AuthorizationCacheEnabled is set to True . Independent of the LocalList feature, which manages badges for offline use, this cache can be disabled by setting AuthorizationCacheEnabled to False when using only LocalList for badge management. |
Garo Entity Pro Accuracy | The accuracy of the Garo Entity Pro (without MID) for measured values is within 2%. |
Serial number
The serial number is located on the back of the charging station.
