How an EV Driver Can Use the Sintio Portal
If you’ve signed up as described under User Account, you’re almost ready to go and will soon be able to charge your vehicle. The following steps still need to be completed:
- Assign your charging station(s)
- Provide address and additional information
- Add a credit card
- Add an RFID badge
This page explains how to complete these steps.
Assigning Your Charging Station(s)
If you haven’t been assigned a charging station yet, contact info@sintio.ch and request the assignment. Please include the following information in your email:
- Username or email address
- Property & parking spot address
- Name of your property management company
- Number of your parking spot
The Sintio-Team will assign the charger to your profile.
If you’re using the sintio.light subscription and manage your own charging infrastructure, contacting info@sintio.ch is not necessary.
Address and Additional Information
Go to www.sintio.com (opens in a new tab), log in, and click your name in the lower-left menu bar. Click on My Profile (opens in a new tab) to access your profile. Edit your contact information if necessary.
You can change your contact info at any time. Your username, however, cannot be changed.
Under Notifications, you can choose which information you want to receive via email. For example, you can disable offline notifications for your charging station.
Adding a Valid Credit Card
To charge your vehicle at a station, you must add a valid credit card.
- Navigate to Billings in the menu
- Click the Add button and add the credit card of your choice
Adding an RFID Badge
In the RFID Badges section, you can add your personal RFID (opens in a new tab) badge. The RFID badge acts as an electronic key for identifying yourself at the charging station.
- Navigate to RFID badges in the menu
- Click the Add button and add the badge of your choice
- The RFID badge will then appear in the table
You can add as many badges as you like—for example, one for yourself and one for a family member.
You're all set. You don't need to do anything else. You can start charging once an administrator has added you to a charging station.
Do you have a Swisspass and want to use it for authentication? Follow these steps:
- Download the NFC Tools app (orange icon).
- In the app, select Read, and hold your desired card to the back of your phone.
- Once recognized, a separate window will appear.
- Copy the number listed under Serial Number.
- Add a new badge as described above.
- Enter the serial number (without colons) in the ID-Tag field.
You’re now ready to use your Swisspass 🪪 as an authentication badge!
A badge that has been added can be deactivated by clicking the the basket button. Once deactivated, it cannot be added again later.
Purchasing an RFID Badge
To order one or more additional Sintio RFID badges, you can also use our portal.
- Click + Add new order
- Select the product type (RFID Badge) and the quantity needed
- Confirm your purchase by clicking the Submit Order button
