Migration of Charging Infrastructure from Xlink Portal to Sintio Portal

This document highlights key points in the migration process for energy providers who want to move their charging infrastructure from the Xlink Portal to the Sintio Portal.


Role Model

In the Sintio Portal, three different roles are distinguished:

  • Sintio Admin: Employees of Sintio with access to all organizations and charging infrastructures.
  • Organization: Institutions that operate their charging infrastructure with the Sintio Portal.
  • User: EV drivers who use one or more charging points of your infrastructure.

Note:
Your role as an energy provider corresponds to the Organization role, acting as administrator. Inform your users about the migration and support them during onboarding.


Preparations

Users

  3. Users do not need to add a payment method (credit or debit card).
  4. Wait until the user has been assigned to the charging station.

Administrators

Users

Administrators

  • Remote support for users (if required)
  • Adjust tariffs (if required)

Important Notes

ℹ️
  • Complete the migration of the installations and inform the users of the scheduled time.
  • New installations must be reported once to support@sintio.ch in order to assign the subscription.
  • For the sintio.xlink subscription, Sintio AG provides no payment collection and no support for users.
  • During the migration of charging stations to the Sintio portal, users may not be able to use the charging station temporarily.

User Onboarding Email Template

Below is a suggested template for migrating Xlink customers to the Sintio Portal.

Subject: Activation of Your Charging Station – Registration Required

Text:

Dear [Name],

We inform you that starting [Date], the billing of your EV charging station will be managed by [Energy Provider Name] via the Sintio Portal.

To ensure you can use your charging station and be billed correctly, please follow these steps:

  1. Create an account

  1. Complete your profile

Click on “My Profile” and add your full contact details.

  1. Choose charging method

You can start charging either with an RFID badge or via the Sintio App.
In your profile under “RFID Badges” you can register an existing badge or order a new one.

  1. Confirm registration

Please reply to this email once your registration is complete. We will then activate your charging station, and you will be able to charge your vehicle.
